Human Resources

Our Philosophy

The growing importance of skilled and motivated employees who are committed to the organisation is recognised strongly in Childline Pmumalanga’s strategic thinking. The achievement of its corporate objectives and realisation of its long term vision are to a large extent dependent upon its people.

The key objective of Childline Mpumalanga's Human Resources philosophy is to attract and retain the talent and skills necessary to service the organisation, both now and in the future. Being an employer of choice and centre of excellence, providing job security and being an attractive workplace with high morale and motivation while providing a conducive working, social and community environment are key to attaining this objective.

Childline Mpumalanga employs some 187 permanent and temporally staff, many of whom originate from the rural areas around its operations in Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni Districts.

Skills Development

Formal mentoring and coaching relationships coupled with individual development plans help our employees reach their peak, both personally and professionally.

A key focus for the Organisation is to create growth opportunities for our employees through focused training initiatives that promote Childline Mpumalanga's strategy to:

  1. Encourage the participation of all population groups at all occupational levels within the corporate structure;
  2. Establish a high performance organisation that attracts, inspires and creates exceptional opportunities for the professional growth of our diverse, talented workforce;
